Power Pouches inspired by indigenous weaving of America

In collaboration with New Wave and Rohi's Readery, on February 21, 2023 from 2-3PM, New Wave artist-in-residence Lina Puerta will lead workshop participants on an artistic adventure to journey the process of weaving with found and natural materials. Participants will be invited to use a variety of materials to create "power pouches" drawing on the inspiration of the Indigenous communities of the Americas. Guests will be encouraged to share and discuss their creations in a safe space at the end of the workshop.

This event is free to the public and all materials will be provided. This event is open to guests ages 6+.
