First, Female at Studio Darczuk

West Palm Beach gallery owner and local tastemaker Gaby Viteri brings new meaning to the phrase “local love.” Viteri, a sought after luxury consultant and gallery owner is launching “First, Female,” a woman-centric art show focusing exclusively on local talent.

Featuring signature works from visual artist Hayley Sheldon and painter Jenny K, the show is a celebration of Viteri’s love for all things local which also brings together a decades long dream to put together an all-female artist ensemble. The opening and show will take place at STUDIO DARCZUK, the pop-up gallery and creative space owned by Viteri and her husband artist Patrick Darczuk in West Palm Beach’s The Square.

For this first show Viteri curated from Sheldon’s signature woven screens and will be debuting Jenny K’s new painted works. Sheldon is a West Palm Beach- based multidisciplinary sculptor and installation artist whose featured shaped screens explore fleeting experiences of the natural world. Jenny K is Delray-based visual artist and painter whose nature focused-work has recently shifted from the graphic to the abstract. This will be her first gallery show ever and Sheldon’s first show in her hometown.

Viteri hopes to make “First, Female” an annual celebration and sees it organically growing as there is a call for diverse and local voices in the West Palm Beach art scene.

During the month of March “First, Female” will have a robust program with Viteri hosting a female artists meetup, artists-led conversations, and hands-on workshops with local artists Sarah Le Pierre and Lani Goodrich. All events will be taking place at STUDIO DARCZUK:

Wednesday, March 23 from 6:00-8:00 PM: Drawing workshop with artist Sarah Le Pierre
