"I Can't Wait to Vote!" Block Party

Join us in partnership with Rohi's Readery and “I Can’t Wait to Vote” Author, Tiffany Lanier for the inaugural “I Can’t Wait To Vote” celebration.

Voting is a fundamental right that keeps our democracy intact and it’s important to #teachthemyoung! Bring the kiddos out for a fun-filled event that will be both educational and entertaining featuring story time, ballot decorating, face painting, talks with local leaders, treats and so much more!

Schedule:

10AM: Kick-off with Pranoo and “I Can’t Wait To Vote” Author Tiffany Lanier, guest speakers and student poet

11AM: Storytime with Tiffany and the star of the Book – 7 year old Autumn

11:30AM-12PM: Author book signing & "decorate your ballot and vote" activity

12:30-2PM: Face painting, voting sign activity and author meet and greet at Rohi's Readery

About the Book:

Autumn Sky is an inquisitive six-year-old girl on a journey to the polling place with her parents for the first time. Along their quest, Autumn questions everything adults get to vote on in their community.

Get excited with Autumn as she daydreams about what it would be like if she was a public official and watch her excitement build for her opportunity to vote one day!

I Can't Wait To Vote is a great introduction to civic engagement, understanding representation, and how all of us have a say in our local, state, and national government.
