Yet another reason to count West Palm Beach as a cultural mecca, the inaugural Art Affair festival will bring 10 days of exhibits, sound and fashion to the downtown CityPlace plaza.
Perhaps the biggest stamp on the festival may come from artist Steed Taylor, whose “Genii Loci” is a mile-long street tattoo that will be painted along the spine of Rosemary Avenue, which runs through CityPlace. Meanwhile, opening-day festivities on Friday, April 6, include the opening of “Assemblage: An Organically Grown Exhibition,” an installation by New York’s Ioanna Pantazopoulou and Los Angeles’ Jennifer Steinkamp at Culture Lab (575 S. Rosemary Ave.). Noteworthy is Pantazopoulou’s “OASIS,” nine hammock sculptures arranged in a merry-go-round-style display.
