WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 4, 2012) — Adding to the seemingly endless menu of dining and entertainment choices at CityPlace, downtown West Palm Beach residents and visitors will soon have five more options to dine, dance and play. Top national brands BRIO Tuscan Grille, Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen, Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill, WannaB’s Karaoke Bar and The Brass Tap will join CityPlace’s signature tenant mix of more than 80 restaurants and shops in 2013.
“The response to our growing dining and entertainment collection has been incredible, and we’re excited to bring even more high-energy, high-quality destination restaurants and nightlife venues to round out the full experience of shopping, dining and entertainment at CityPlace,” said R. Webber Hudson, executive vice president of Related Urban, a mixed-use division of Related Companies responsible for leasing, management and marketing at CityPlace.
Popular national brand BRIO Tuscan Grille will make its way to CityPlace in early 2013. BRIO will occupy more than 7,000 square feet in a newly transformed space on the corner of Rosemary Avenue and Hibiscus Street across from Macy’s and is expected to create roughly 90 full and part-time jobs. Part of the Bravo Brio Restaurant Group with more than 100 locations nationwide, the upscale, affordable restaurant serves authentic northern Italian food. The Tuscan-inspired menu features oven-roasted steaks, chops, fresh fish and made-to-order pastas. Some of BRIO Executive Chef Freddy Sevilla’s signature dishes include bruschetta Quattro, chicken “under the brick,” gorgonzola-crusted filet, beef carpaccio, bistecca insalata and lasagna Bolognese al forno, to name a few. The CityPlace location will also offer a “Bellini Brunch” on Saturdays and Sundays until 3:30 p.m. and a $3.95 “Tuscan Taster Bar Menu” during special hours at the bar, among other drink promotions weekly.
BRIO will seat more than 275 guests among the terrace, bar and interior. The dining environment is intended to bring the pleasure of the Tuscan country villa to the American city. Décor highlights include antique, hardwood Cypress flooring; arched colonnades; hand-crafted Italian mosaics; walls covered in antique Venetian plaster; Arabescato marble imported from Italy; and wrought-iron chandeliers.
Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information on BRIO Tuscan Grille, visit brioitalian.com.
On the second level of CityPlace, Joel Bachkoff and his team at the Improv ownership group are bringing the Phoenix, Arizona sensation, Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen, to West Palm Beach. The 5,000-square-foot CityPlace location is connected to the popular Palm Beach Improv, and will provide a relaxed, music-inspired space perfect for everything from business lunches to late night drinks and live music. Guests can expect to hear a range of music from some of the top cover bands in the country, as well as acoustic sets from big name musicians.
Copper Blues’ American tavern-style menu will feature a creative mix of entrées and appetizers from its one-of-a-kind stone hearth oven. Signature dishes include flatbread pizzas, pork belly sliders, filet bites and even a pound of bacon served with a side of Vermont maple syrup dipping sauce. The bar will offer more than 60 beers on tap including local and seasonal brews with dollar beer shots during happy hour, plus an innovative “Rocktail” menu of mixed drinks.
The bar itself will be a focal point of the décor, placed at the base of the stage with “cobra taps” that run up the ceiling and lead to Copper Blues’ open keg cooler. The space will feature unique art made specially for Copper Blues, with accents of wood and cushy leather couches. Guests will also be able to enjoy outdoor dining at the patio lounge and bar. Guests looking for some true southern hospitality will appreciate Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill, a blend of music, food and fun straight from Nashville, Tennessee. Featured on ABC’s hit television series, “Nashville,” the 11,000-square-foot entertainment venue is located across the street from Revolutions Bowling, Bar & Grille and will operate both as a full-service restaurant and an evening hot spot with dancing, live music featuring national country acts and local musicians, and mechanical “bull riding.” The CityPlace location is expected to open in spring 2013 and bring approximately 200 full and part-time jobs to the area.
The restaurant will feature an intimate dining area, open-air patio, private party rooms, three bars and a lively country and rock-n-roll atmosphere with a flaming electric guitar as the space’s centerpiece. The kitchen will serve up authentic, finger-licking barbeque; mouth-watering prime rib; campfire chili; gourmet flatbread pizzas; fresh, tableside guacamole; and a southern version of tapas. Living up to its name, more than 100 types of tequila are also on the menu with rotating specials and exotic brands and flavors. The restaurant and bar serves tequila and beer “flights” for sampling, as well as fresh-made libations from an extensive drink menu.
WannaB’s Karaoke Bar, is right next door, giving patrons two entertainment venues under one rocking roof. Guests can brave the center stage and become rock stars for the evening with the D.J. offering more than 300,000 songs to choose from. There’s a full service bar and a high quality sound system that will help even the most off-key “star.” For more information on Tequila Cowboy Bar & Grill and WannaB’s Karaoke Bar, visit tequilacowboy.com.
Next door, beer and wine enthusiasts will have a new reason to toast their glasses with the addition of The Brass Tap at CityPlace. Opening spring 2013, the 4,200-square-foot location at CityPlace is positioned to create more than 25 new jobs in downtown West Palm Beach.
An exemplary collection of craft beers ranges from specialty beers like Duvel’s Triple Hop, national beers such as Sierra Pale Ale, local brews like Tequesta Brewery’s Der Chancellor’s Amber Ale and seasonal specials such as Magic Hat’s Winter Howl Lager. A limited menu of bar bites will be served and an assortment of liquor and wine will also be available. The Brass Tap will use the latest pouring technology for its wines, which keeps them incredibly fresh and also gives guests the chance to sample wines before ordering a full glass.
In addition to live music Thursday through Saturday and the sports games showcase and specials throughout the bar, The Brass Tap will keep guests entertained through its “Brew Crew.” The program keeps track of what beers their registered members have tasted, as well as provides bragging rights and rewards in the form of Brass Tap store items and beer coupons.
