WHAT:
CityPlace and 107.9 WIRK will host a free concert on the plaza by country music sensation Jake Owen on Wednesday, May 12, as part of the weekly Taste of CityPlace series. Following the opening act at 6 p.m., Owen will take the stage at 7 p.m. to perform hits like "Eight Second Ride" and "Don´t Think I Can´t Love You"
FAST FACTS:
| Vero Beach, Fla. native Jake Owen has toured with some of the biggest names in country music, including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn and Alan Jackson. The title track from his debut album Startin´ With Me hit country music´s top 10 in 2006, which led to his first Academy of Country Music nomination for Top New Male Vocalist. He also received his first Country Music Association and Grammy nominations in 2008 for his collaboration with Sugarland and Little Big Town on "Life in a Northern Town," and his popularity continues to grow with the release of his latest album, Easy Does It. |
