Where to ‘come thirsty my friends’ for Cinco de Mayo in the Palm Beaches.

1) Calaveras Cantina’s Cinco de Mayo Bash – Jupiter

The Gist
It’s a block party at Harbourside Place featuring live music, three outdoor bars, and Chihuahua races (benefiting Jupiter Dog Rescue).  Make sure to check out the taco tent (for speedy taco service) with fresh tacos, guacamole, and salsa.

The Deets
125 Dockside Drive, Jupiter
Mariachi Band from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
DJ Lucho from 6 p.m. – 1 a.m.

MORE: Two margarita recipes that will rock your world.

2) Rocco Taco’s Cinco de Mayo Block Party

The Gist
What’s great is there is a Rocco’s near just about every major city in Palm Beach County; so there is one probably near you.  They each have Cinco parties that are scaled differently for each of their locations (West Palm Beach’s being the rowdiest and most fun).  There are DJs and Bands all day and all night plus drink specials.

The Deets
Boca Raton – 5250 Town Center Cir
Delray – 110 E Atlantic Ave
Palm Beach Gardens – 5090 PGA Blvd
West Palm Beach – 224 Clematis Street

3) Cinco de Mayo Block Party – Jupiter

The Gist
Get your sombreros and fake mustaches on and join the restaurants of Abacoa Town Center.  They will have Mexican fiesta-inspired beers, margaritas, taco, and churro stands, piñatas.  There will be kids’ activities 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., cornhole, beer pong, DJs, and a Mariachi band.

The Deets
1200 Town Center Drive
4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

4) Don Chepos Taco Shop Cinco de Mayo Block Party – Wellington

The Gist
Enjoy live music, DJ, a mariachi band and drink specials all day long. Come dressed to impress, in your Cinco de Mayo best! There will be giveaways and surprises throughout the event.

The Deets
10660 Forest Hill Blvd #170, Wellington, Florida 33414
This kid-friendly event is being held from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.

5) Cinco de Mayo Fiesta  – West Palm Beach

The Gist
Mojito Latin Cuisine and Bar is hosting a themed evening called Night of the Dead in CityPlace Square.  Live music, dancers, cigars, a full bar plus $4 tacos (grass-fed beef, organic chick, shrimp or wild mushroom) plus empanadas.

The Deets
700 S Rosemary Ave.
Music by Tairon Aguliera
DJ Yass and DJ Arrow
